    They were definitely stinkers. According to the coaches votes, Merrett equal 3rd best on ground and Stengle was equal 6th. Surely we can all accept that everyone (especially young players) will play bad games occasionally and acknowledge when they do.

    They have been on the list a number of years now (especially Taylor) and none were particularly high draft picks. Those are the sort of players who should be made to earn their place in the side. If we are going to be gifting games, I would rather it be to pick 4, Curtin, Ryan and Edwards.

    14 for Baker is bad regardless what has happened before. West Coast would be better off taking it to the draft in either situation. Richmond come out of this very well.

    I think it's the other way. 3 for 12, 14 and Owies is maybe a slight loss. It's 14 for Baker that makes this deal bad for West Coast. West Coast lose, Carlton have done well, Richmond are the big winners out of this trade.

    I would. Laird wasn't at his best in 2024 and maybe won't be again, but he is still a better player than Crouch in my opinion.
