Four spots on the list available at the moment, unless we trade someone in I see us using these picks. There is no point in upgrading either Zurhaar or Junker as we have an LTI in Watson already.
With all the announcements of various assistant coaches moving clubs, has there been any news on a replacement for Brad Green? Or are we more likely to promote from within?
If we want to go small and mobile:
In: Wright, Zurhaar, Cunnington
Out: MacMillan, Waite, Thomas
If we want to go bigger:
In: Wright, Preuss/Larkey, Cunnington
Out: MacMillan, Waite, Thomas
The problem with going small is that Michael Johnson would have a field day taking intercept marks.
It was good to see Scott actually make some changes to his set up. i.e. Ziebell and Tarrant forward late.
The one I liked and noticed to work well was Hrovat behind the ball. Now I'm not sure if he was just starting off the back of the square at center bounces or he was rolled to half back, but...
Has shown enough the last couple of games. Hopefully he can keep this form up over the whole year. With he and Thompson both out of contract at the end of the year, you would think realistically only one of them (at max) would be brought back next year. But we have seen crazier things done before.
That actually is massive news. It will also be interesting to see if Maxwell seeks a move again, could be a bit of a rejuvenation with our middle order.
Will be good to have Harper as full-time keeper, Handscomb should be skipper.
Absolute great news for Wade and Handscomb. IMO I feel as Holland is also a bit stiff.
For our next shield match would like to see Harper and one of Short/Gotch in.
