    Getting closer... Most recent project cost estimate (i.e. blowout) is $982m. For 80 beds. 80 juvie offenders. $12M+ PER BED. At any scale, of any persuasion... you can't despise govt enough.

    On repugnant govt waste, look up Woodford Youth Detention centre in Qld. Involved through work, worst I've seen. Have a guess at the per bed cost before you look it up, any reasonable person won't get remotely close. Eye-watering, blood- boiling stuff.
