    Ovens and Murray Part 2

After reading yesterday's BMM I'm starting to think the Raiders could well make finals - with a spine including Prior, Cook, Doolan and Martin as well improved depth all over the park and handy big blokes. I originally thought the final five was already set with Alb/Lav/Wang/Wod/Yarra - but...

    Ovens and Murray Part 2

My information is straight from the horses mouth - on all accounts. I'm not sure what your standing is at Nth Albury but I suggest you ask their coach exactly what he offered Ben Jones. As for Raiders - who cares - they've been down a while so good luck to them. Further, apart from Doolan I...

    Ovens and Murray Part 2

Call me what you like - he has been offered $1,000 a game and Nth Alb haven't paid all their players from 2008 (ask Matt Murray, Brandon Ryan & Brad Horne). As for Raiders if they've only picked up 'B' graders I can't see how that would break the bank.

    Ovens and Murray Part 2

Nth Albury offered Ben Jones $1000 a game !!!!! Jones might be a handy player but no where near worth that coin - and is a clear sign of desperation from the Hoppers. Good luck to Jones, clearly an offer to good to refuse - just hope he actually gets it!

    Ovens and Murray Part 2

Success is generally cyclical - and while Rovers will be down a bit this year there time will come again. It wasn't that long ago when the Magpies were the whipping boys of the league - for quite a while if I remember correctly and Rovers dominated. Not the most humble victors those Magpies fans.

    Ovens and Murray Part 2

It would be a big call to say they could make the five - if they were the only spot I think that looks vulnerable at this very early stage would appear to be the Bulldogs. With the significant uncertainty over Bradshaw's immediate future (court case on Tuesday I've heard), recruit from Ainslie...

    Ovens and Murray Part 2

I think your pretty much on the money there CP. Might have the top three in different order - Albury, Wang and then Lavi. I think the make of the top 5 looks right. If Raiders pick up Luke Martin and Ben Jones who I understand have been training with the club and Steinhauser pulls the boots...

    Ovens and Murray Part 2

Agree about Lavi - expect them to be top 3 with Albury and Wang. Not convinced about the Bulldogs given the new CHF has apparently headed back to the mines in WA and Bradshaws injury concerns and recent problems with law enforcement officers.

    Ovens and Murray Part 2

I don't know about being the big movers but thay have been active. There has been some decent quality - Doolan speaks for himself, Corcoran is an O&M rep while O'Connell and Sims have played a bit of O&M footy. Mounsey is meant to go OK and if Matt Murray has signed then its fair to say they...

    Ovens and Murray Part 2

I suspect Matt Murray will be a loss to North and a gain to Raiders and I understand that Daniel Steinhauser will play again for the Raiders.

I think Albury will also be OK in the thirds. The five will mosts likely be the same as last year with: Wodonga Wang Rovers Wod Raiders Albury Wangaratta Maybe Yarra knocking on the door.

As HBF points out McMartin didn't play - has a crook foot that will likley keep him out of action from some weeks.

Rovers by 10 or 11 points. Raiders the better side in 1st half - led by 22 points at half time - and clearly Rovers had the better of the 2nd half. Raiders had quite a few unavailable (Mark Doolan, Leigh Corcoran, Darren Elliott, Xavier Mardling, Justin Kahlefeldt), While Rovers had a few out...

Not only a very sensitive Bulldogs supporter but throw in major tosser as well. How has the Club's treatment of Conway been appalling?

    Ovens and Murray

See we have a very sensitive Bulldogs supporter here. If your going to throw mud get your facts right. I think the head to head count between the two clubs is something like 20 - 16 (slightly in Bulldogs favour) - and between 1997 and 2003 the Bulldogs did not defeat Raiders - so I cannot see...
