    Could be. If the perps did their homework well, they may have known about Nancy's health issues and need for attendance by a female. That's if they ever intended to keep her alive. IMO she was taken because they knew her family (daughter) was wealthy and that they could demand a large ransom...

    Something might have happened earlier and Shannon covered by saying she was looking after the boys. It's a very plausible narrative that Grandma (biological) was caring for the children.

    Looked like a toilet in one photo, if so probably a pit toilet. Definitely could have dug/made a new one. Wonder where any old one might be. Guess the pit would be dug or composted material inserted in place first, cement done then the old walls and roof popped over the lot in the new location?
