    They are weakening to some degree, but what do other club supporters wish, for them to fold. They do need some form of extra retention allowance I feel. The planning by the afl has been poor. The over generous start up concessions see other clubs wanting to get their players, maybe the solution...

    Why don't you do 13,16 and your 2019 second for pick 4 and st Kildas 2019 fourth pick. 4 is about the same as 13,16 points wise and then st Kilda gets the bonus of a 2019 pick swap guaranteed to be in their favour.

    I hope not, living in Sydney get to a couple of gws games a year. You have to improve trade outcomes though, shiel is worth more to st kilda than what Carlton are offering, even hawthorns next 2 first rounders is an ok deal.

    I I agree first rounder is fair, but not picks 14 and 35. I think he is worth pick 5, but hawthorn struggle to get that in points value. Surely getting both shiel and mcgovern for pick 1 is great for Carlton, with shiel worth 5 and mcgovern about 12.

    So if gaff agrees to be traded to his destination, what would be the most we could offer up as trade value. Whoever doesn't get Dylan shiel out of Carlton, Essendon and st Kilda all have plenty of cap room and good picks to offer up, so whilst i am hopeful for getting gaff i will be nervous...
