South Africa v Australia; Third Test at Newlands, Cape Town

I actually feel sorry for him. It was obviously not his decision. He was just chosen to do it. He could have said no but that's very difficult for a young player to do.

It doesn't. But someone from the team management had to take the blame. It was either the coach or the captain.

South Africa v Australia; Third Test at Newlands, Cape Town

The idiocy was trying to hide it in his pants after getting a message from dressing room. That made it impossible to deny it.

South Africa v Australia; Third Test at Newlands, Cape Town

Australia would have done the same if it wasn't so blatant. Bancroft hiding it in his pants after clearly getting instructions from the dressing room made it worse for them. After that they had to accept it. Still Smith claimed that coached weren't involved, which is BS.

If they hadn't tried to pull that stunt of hiding it, they could have and most likely would have denied it or at the very least put it on just one person, Bancroft.

South Africa v Australia; Third Test at Newlands, Cape Town

Only because there was no way they could have denied it. The whole act was caught on cam, from Bancroft rubbing that yellow thingy on the ball to, team management relaying a message to him and then him hiding that tape or whatever in his pants. Cummins was caught stepping on the ball in the...

India vs Australia 4th test Dharamsala, the Virat Kohli Cup, March 25 - 29, 3pm AEDT

Great series, highly competitive throughout. Australia needed at least 100 runs more.

Cricket doesn't have rules. it has laws. :P It has always been judged as no shot offered. Seen many over the years.

    Indian tour pitches

Pune was a bit under-prepared and deservedly got a poor rating but this was a very good test wicket IMO. India batted poorly in the first innings and Australia collapsed under pressure in the last. Batsmen of yesteryears of would have played much better on this. These days T20 generation doesn't...

    The IPL 2016 Thread

    OK I don't follow IPL or any T20 league in general but this is just insane. Virat Kohli's T20 scores in 2016 - 90*, 59*, 50, 7, 49, 56*, 41*, 23, 55*, 24, 82*, 89*, 75, 79, 33, 80, 100*, 14, 52, 108*, 20, 7, 109, 75* and 113. 1,490 runs at 99.33.

    India v South Africa - 3 T20s, 5 ODIs, 4 Tests

Unless India get out really cheaply in the second innings, this should go to Day 4 but you never know. :D

Australia vs India - ICC World Cup 2015 Semi Final 2 @ SCG 2:30pm 26/03/15

You will never get WACA or Gabba kind of pace and bounce at SCG. That is not the basic nature of the SCG pitch. The only way you can make it pace friendly is by leaving a bit of grass on it. But that is a risky approach and it can easily backfire. Australia are certainly banking on a flat pitch...

Australia vs India - ICC World Cup 2015 Semi Final 2 @ SCG 2:30pm 26/03/15

It is very simple to understand. Australia have more firepower in the batting lineup and on a flat pitch they would outscore India. They are hoping it would be similar to the game against SL.
