I think that once it became apparent that young Aidan wasn't going to be a top 10 level talent, everyone's anxiety about potentially losing him to the Swans has eased a little...
Those who don't see the huge level of our improvement are either blind or have the memory of a goldfish. However, it's true that it's been a long time since we've been able to get over the line in a game such as that one. Had it been at home, I have no doubt we would have won. But on this...
Geelong model, and to a lesser extent Collingwood, prove that the current AFL landscape with Free Agency et al does allow bigger clubs to stay up indefinitely. Being a big club, Richmond could have handled the end of their era a lot better I'd say. Not that I give a shit.
Only around 2 months ago Caroline Wilson said she feared for Clarkson. Well, nothing like a 0:6 start to get her mind off Clarkson and North for a few weeks at least
All they need is to find a spot for Brad Scott and Joyce and they can look forward to the bottom two spot for the next 10 years. If Scott and Joyce aren't gettable, they can merge with Essendon
Trembath is entering the territory where people want to attend games just to watch him play. Dare I say it, we haven't had such a player since Longmire/Carey/McKernan era.
Yes, Xerri's brainfade has exposed a list management blunder, there is no doubt about that. Going into the season with Goad as the only viable second ruck was a huge risk for a club that was hoping to push for the top 10 (at least that should be the aim). CCJ is basically not AFL quality in any...
Clarko did say the whole squad is flying over. But if he does debut, it will be exciting to see what he can bring. At the very least will bring pressure and more class than JK
Firstly, I'd wait and see if he's selected. The fact he has flown to Adelaide means FA, given Clarko did say today that the entire squad is flying over due to no VFL this week. But if he does play, I have no issue with it. We have no mids on the list who could replace FOS, therefore it was...
What a dumb way of putting it "it's his own shoulder that broke his jaw"! FFS!
It's like saying, if a bloke's head hits the ground after a bump, that it's the Marvel Stadium turf has concussed him.
My understanding of the rules says this is still on Hayward. No different to the old Lindsay Thomas rule, if a fair bump still results in concussion, despite not being high (via hitting the head on the ground for example) it is still a suspension under current rules, is it not?
The worry is if a big club like Collingwood is into him, and they do have cap space. If he does request a trade, no way we will be fairly compensated. Hope he signs.
