Very enjoyable and informative video - I would suggest that fans of other teams would enjoy this as well. It is a great insight into the process and reality of AFL recruiting - Rhy is growing into the role before our eyes and it was interesting at the start to hear about his journey - well done...
Future Thirds are the under-rated star of the AFL Trade Period.
Flogs like Mackie and Dodoro hold up multiple deals and the whole period for a swap of Future 3rds.
The thrill of gambling on a Teams Final spot next year and the wistful dream that the team they have traded with will bomb out...
Liam Baker is probably my favourite player over the past decade of watching Richmond play in multiple big, pressure-filled games.
The epitome of the "its not the size of the dog in the fight, its the size of the fight in the dog" adage.
Tough
Skilled
Versatile
Never Gives Up
Always Smiling...
Langford looks to be a a general, flexible, all-round gun footballer - size, marking, kicking, accumulation.
I would pick him over Smith/Smilie/Draper/Reid.
I am leaning towards a O'Sullivan/Langford combo as the best outcome for our first 2 picks (Even if we have 1/2 )
O'Sullivan
Langford...
FOS gives me Isaac Heeney/Jordan Dawson/Jimmy Bartel vibes
Jagga is more Darcy Parish vibes
At number 1, I prefer the High Marking/Metres Gained/Multiple Positions of FOS over the Supercoach/Fantasy Football scores of Jagga.
There is a genuine chance that FOS finally puts it all together to confirm his undisputed Number 1 Status just in time for us to watch in disbelief as Nth get pounded by Hawthorn and the Tigers to have a stirring win over Dimma's New Plastic Toys and make a late surge for 17th!
Someone smarter than me needs to start a Twitter Account along the lines of ;
"5 year rolling Tigers Free-Kick Ledger"
"Days since Richmond was ahead on an annual free-kick table"
Not quite as catchy as the "days since Essendon won a final" thing but could work if you got the right angle
Reminds me of the type of player that the Sydney Swans seem to stockpile - running, mid-sized midfielders with skills and the ability to play a bit inside and outside. Very promising and a definite need. We need to draft about 5 more of this type over the next couple of years.
I am backing him in - his toughness, endeavour, run and pressure will keep him in the team I reckon. Needs a few games in a row with the full support of the Coaches to see what he can bring, has had a rollercoaster of ins and outs over the past couple of years.
Missing that goal was a bad...
Kozi and Miller having a bit of a rumble is a good thing to hear about actually - they may well be playing for the same "Swingman/2ndRuck" position if Yze goes that way. I can understand them wanting to challenge each other. Bring it on boys.
