Yeah Salisbury is a "cheaper" suburb. A mate of mine bought a house, proper mansion on 2000 sqm and very nice pool in Greenwith (in Salisbury still) for $900k in 2016. We joked at the time he bought the most expensive house in Salisbury and can overlook the peasantry.... -

Define "large mortgage". I live in Salisbury and decent houses are going for $900k plus. 20% deposit, $720 mortgage. Thats around $4500 a month repayment. To live comfortably (mortgage less than 25% income), you need more than an AFL base salary anyway. To live here in Salisbury.... -
