    So Nunawading play guys who have barely played footy and lose by 300. Doncaster forfeit as they believe they shouldn't expose players with little or no footy experience as it will prevent them from "upholding the spirit of fair competition". Amazing position the league finds itself in.

    Mordi now the short priced flag favs??? Good win at home by EM and I think while Highett are better than the rest, Mordi and EM may just be a step above. A long way to go, but the ladder is taking shape already.

    they were always going to keep the 'recess' teams together. VAFA has put a lot of faith in the teams that have come down from Div 4. I guess they believe the division above must/has to be stronger?? I'm not so sure....

    Staggering actually. The clubs that identify the need to survive and seek out a merger will be the ones that are around in 50 years. The ship will sail and leave a large number of clubs behind and consigned to the history books. Councils love nothing more than giving green space back to residents.

    makes sense, they also play all their games at 11:40 and 2 pm. Easier to fixture when you have 4 clubs in the same timeslot for fixturing.

    No way, no depth at all. They'd be 15 goals off Wattle Park and Hawthorn in D3, closer to Albert Park who seem a basket case this year. Centrals and La Trobe they might give a run for money for a half. Swinburne, Chaddy and Eley Park would be 20 goals off.

    Did Doncaster not say "we had 1 point players available but didn't think they were ready for senior football" or words to that effect? These 1 pointers are the ones that should've been siting on the bench.
