    1993 pre-season Adelaide beat us by about a million points. Probably our (then) greatest club legend Schimma was sacked. We had no major sponsor, no captain and no coach. I reckon the club was not far from going broke. That moment made the next decade all the more amazing really.

    Ok so I get all this "every player has to earn their spot" stuff… … but really McDonald is going to be a star and we just need to get 100 games into him as quickly as possible. I wouldn't be dropping him unless he has a real crisis of confidence or drops his standards around preparation etc...

    I remember watching an early Daryn Creswell game and he looked like a particularly poor player in a terrible team. But he came good. Agree re Steve Smith. I was ranting about how NSW favouritism was the only reason he got a game until a few months ago...

    Preview Official 2013 Fixture Thread

    Jeeze there's a lot negativity on this thread. The point of following a footy team is to watch them playing against the best teams in front of big crowds. Not to beat a glorified TAC Cup team in front of 16,000 people. If we're good enough to challenge we'll win games. If not, we'll know soon...
