    Brighton vs Haileybury @ BGS

That's tough. Obviously Haileybury haven't started well this season, but it's undeniable that there's definately talent in their squad (wonder how that happened . . .). At the same time, you have to remember that, prior to the season starting, people were predicting Brighton to be a bottom three...

    scholarships

I have no doubt at all that that's true, however, you've got to take into account the different circumstances the two APS schools in Geelong are under; there's one TAC cup team in Geelong, and most of their players are from the Geelong area. Therefore, if these players are wanting to go to an...

    Round 4 - APS

Yeah, I'd tip the same way, except don't be too hard on the purple ones, I heard they were 5 goals up against Scotch at 3 quarter time and just got run over . . . and even though they lost, they should still be happy, because, let's be honest, wesley have never been 5 goals up on anybody

    Scotch College = hacks

an excellent point; as a former bgs boy myself i can clearly remember us being mauled by rioli when he was younger, and, casting my mind even further back, years ago, in the final round of the season when bgs and xavs were both undefeated and scheduled to play in the final round, a young 16 year...

Who saw the news today about Haileyburies scholarships!!

look, i don't really know about all this stuff about Geelong College not having any scholarship players. whilst it may be true, you have to take into account the different circumstances that GC are in. there is of course a local TAC cup team, the falcons, and most of the kids that play for them...

Who saw the news today about Haileyburies scholarships!!

mate there's a pretty big difference between having 3 or 4 scholarship boys in your team and having 18 or 19

Who saw the news today about Haileyburies scholarships!!

whilst i totally agree with pretty much everything said so far, and think that it's about time haileybury were put into the spotlight for this kind of behaviour, there's still a couple of things. Firstly, it's unfair to suggest that no other schools give scholarships, as it's pretty common, just...

    AGSV vs APS match

word is that hawkins didn't play as he didn't want to aggravate a slight back injury, which is probably fair enough, given the actual season's over, but slightly disappointing for anyone that wanted to see him in action. imagine how much the aps would've won by if he had played. . .

    APS team Named

i have to agree with the others here, dawesy's a champ, and fully deserves the captaincy. admittedly, at times he can be undisciplined, but the main thing is that he is always 100% willing to commit to the team cause, and put it in for his team mates, and that's what they would have been looking...

Who is the most talented in APS Sport?

I think that, whilst going around sort of under the radar, Shane Tregear from BGS would be a chance, despite the teams' lack of success. He was captain of cricket (and captain of the APS side), vice-captain of the footy team, and named in the APS side for that as well. He's got one of the best...

    APS team Named

i think ellis isn't playing because he didn't play that many games during the season. i believe that he also may still be carrying an injury, though that's just from what i've heard on this site but yeah, ultra talented squad, and will be very hard to stop

    Mgs Get 3 new players

what do you mean, 'doesn't offer scholarships' are you saying that, of the 1500+students at MGS, none are on scholarships?

Caulfield v Brighton what a game

yeah, probably a fair question, but if you read the other threads, particularly the one's about haileybury, he appears in heaps, always talkiing HC up, as if they're the greatest, and deserve everything

Caulfield v Brighton what a game

i know buddy, but irony goes to Haileybury, and I made it pretty clear that I was talking about him. the only reason i quoted nextgoodlooker, who i know is a CGS boy, given i've dueled with him on this very thread, was to point out a spelling mistake. whose call failed this time?

    2nds: Scotch Vs Haileybury

look, i think that we can all see that the quality of haileybury sport is really displayed in their 2nds teams, as they're not exactly fantastic, and that's what their 1sts would be like if they didn't go on major spending sprees for everything. so congrats to the many 2nds APS teams that beat...
