What happens if there's a player option attached to the contract?
Pretty sure Josh Kelly had a 2 yr contract with an option to extend, would they have to match the 2yrs or the full amount including the option?
It is via the free agency though, theyd still have pick 5 and we would have traded them our pick in 27 for their compo pick in 26 being pick 6.
I think we all know Port's going to want to invest in next yrs draft with their acadmey and father-sons next yr. Outside of Carlton who currently have 2...
Yeah I agree, seems like it's a win-win situation for everyone involved. I think if they ended up with the compo pick it would be in their best interests to trade that pick to get into next yrs draft, assuming it's us with pick 1, it's the perfect situation where they'll likely get a bottom 4...
I'm interested to hear why you think that isn't a reasonable trade.
If he chose the dogs you'd be looking currently at pick 9 from the dogs and probably 2 more future firsts which i think we would all assume will be pick 15+ when you take into consideration Tasmania's extra picks (that's only...
To throw my 2 cents in on Butters.
Right now if the ladder finished the way it is.
We'd have pick 1 and port would have pick 5.
Port take the compo pick of pick 6 for Butters.
We trade our future first potentially 2nd as well for pick 6.
We don't bid on cochrane but do bid on walker meaning...
Pick 2 it would be with Tasmania.
In all seriousness though I can't see how Madden would be keen on coming if we got TMH, not sure how having 2-3yrs as no.1 option then losing it would be appealing.
Pardon the interruption but hypothetically if you took the compo pick instead of a trade for Butters (which ever team he signed with) do you think you would be interested in trading that compo for richmonds 1st in 27?
