    I'm usually optimistic, but what I've seen doesn't seem like it is enough to suggest that we'll improve next year. Certainly not with teams like Gold Coast rapidly improving. Haven't had a player kick 40+ in years either. Maybe it is the massive downer that was tonight affecting my view, but...

    Yep. I probably won't follow anything footy related for a good 8 months till round 1. It starts late next year too. I've honestly had enough of the speculations, gossip and inaccurate information regurgitated by the media just to push their own agendas.

    Look Steinberg's game is excusable. 3rd game. Stanton's isn't. No way should a senior player perform like that in a cut throat final. Very soft and I'v been very lenient in the past. Ryder looked like he played his last game for Essendon. Gave us that one last goal.

    I think I'll take a massive break from footy until this whole thing is wrapped up. The saga on top of our frustrating performances is taking a toll on the whole club and its supporters.
