Obviously a practical joke played by Darcy and his large-sconed mate from Broadmeadows.
Would be great of all Carlton supporters stopped listening to their morning show (if anybody actually does listen).
Yes, it is extreme to delist a draftee after 1 year.....forgive me for exaggerating. I've just never liked Edwards after watching him closely at numerous bullants games.....lacks intensity and doesnt have a standout quality that would push him to AFL level (eg. Fisher's marking...
Agree there is no way Bentick or Bannister will get boned.
The first bloke I would chop is Edwards, which is 2 years too late.
My list is:
Ackland
Saddo
Edwards
Blackwell
Jackson
Benjamin
Aisake (r)
Hartlett mat survive depending on the balance of the list.
Apologies if this has already been done, but I thought it would be interesting to see how we've compiled our current senior team over the years in Drafts and Trading.
Here is a list of 27 players that makes up our senior team in various forms:
B: M.Jamison B.Thornton P.Bower
HB: A.Walker...
Ripper post. Totally agree.
I've long believed that when Heath has a great game in the midfield we are so much more competitive. In fact, I told him so at last year's end of season function and he was rapt !!
On Sat it looked like a straight swap between Scotland and Carazzo....which worked...
He gets exposed too much on a quick track like the Dome........but if you're talking a wet June day at the 'G', then he would be one the first picked.
My tip is Pfeiffer will take his place.
That would be the best possible lineup I've seen posted this preseason.....only thing I'd change would be Carrazzo in for Bentick or maybe Kruezer.
- Like the look of the back 6 and think we should play them every week for the for 12 rounds and try build a solid unit.
- 100% agree with Waite...
Integrity ?? Hehehe....pretty naive view of the world........all clubs will be trying for the best possible deal for their club, including yours. Why do you think most deals are done 2 mins before trade deadline on Friday?
BTW, regardless of what pick Meesen went at he'll will be judged on...
Hehe, I see your point mate.......but traditionally in trade week all clubs want something for next to nothing....which is why hardly any trades get done......so from our side, I hope the crows get their pants pulled down over this trade ;)
Nice suggestion............but there is no way we would give pick 19 and drop 2 spots at the top end for an unproven young player who is out-of-contract and homesick.
Pick 36 at best or lose him for nothing in the PSD.
I disagree with that - Personally I wouldnt trade Russell who has had 3 years development and ready to take off, for pick 20 in a speculative draft.
In terms of Meesen - I would only give up a 4th rounder or maybe a 3rd - then again, depends on the reasons why he cant get a game ahead of...
I didnt mind that actually...he was behind Mclaren and Aisake in the pecking order. I thought he showed good character to demote himself for his own development.
All depends on how many picks we plan to use in the ND and PSD - they are tough calls but some players will have to be culled. I think 8 or 9 players have to go to make way for 3 promotions and 5 or 6 draft selections.
What they might do is keep Jamison on the rookie list so they can retain...
Dont think Raso will ever get to pull on a Navy Blue jumper. He actually can look like a well-skilled balanced player at times for the bullants, but for me he will never cut it with the big boys.
