Paul Eyles will be coach of Castlemaine next year, no doubt. The season was not a reflection on him, he has worked bloody hard and has a two year deal that will not be broken. Don't be surprised if Dekka bobs up a bit closer to Bendigo than that..........

Excellent post, Camp Reserve is fine but I can see the arguments when the games are on the same day given the need for support staffs to travel. When the finals are back to the usual format it would be great. Another move could be to share the Michelson venue. Pretty boring day today I...

Great idea, pity they didn't go with it. And as for South supporters not liking it, I'm sure the three of them would have an enjoyable car ride together! Camp reserve is in great nick, surface would be as good as any other ground in the comp and Castlemaine could sure use the boost after...

Agreed, Strath is a terrible facility for spectators. I guess it comes down as to what matters more in the finals, the condition of the surface and the quality of the football, or the facilties and amenities for the crowd. Given the financial implications for the BFL, I'd suggest the latter.

Maryborough Castlemaine District FL (Part 2)

You obviously don't read too closely or you might have noticed that I have been full of support for Campbells Creek all season and as for Newstead my only prediction was that they would have a down year after their flag, which I didn't know was considered a supreme insult on this thread! And...

Don't you get touchy about Newstead as well, Rocket. Just saying they were the league big slider as predicted, it's hardly being critical. I'm not sure why you boys keep wanting to bring up Castlemaine in the MCDFL thread. FYI I've spent as much time in the blue and white as the black and...

No need to get touchy, but who has had a bigger slide?

Maryborough Castlemaine District FL (Part 2)

Well I copped plenty for my pre-season prediction that Newstead would be the biggest slider but there it is. I also just missed my other call that Creek would make the 5 but stand by for next year, massive recruiting campaign already going on and will be a force next year.

Bombers to play at Strathfieldsaye 20 Jul, 2010 12:00 AM VICTORIAN Football League action will return to Bendigo this weekend, but not at the city’s football headquarters. The Bendigo Bank Bombers yesterday announced they will play their next two home games at Strathfieldsaye’s Tannery Lane...

Hahaha Keep talking it up there, Beetle, just a shame it didn't pan out. Although looking at the stats you might have been better value beaking off over the fence! ;) Were in with a chance at 3 quarter time in some of the worst conditions for footy I've ever seen. Just lacked a bit of...

They have the old style logo on the front as well as a white 'v' at the top and then on the back they are a Collingwood style black and white strips below the black panel for the number. I don't think they are a replica of anything, more of a mash up of a few different jumper styles from over...

Wasn't a great crowd I wouldn't have thought, but I must say having been out injured Saturday and spent my first trip to Kyneton on the sidelines it was bloody painful standing in the cold watching!

Horrible day yesterday with only the under 18s getting up. Unless we pinch an upset at the Camp it looks like we will go winless. Hard time indeed. To the credit of everyone though we had a successful auction night last night and the atmosphere is as positive as it can be in the...
