List Mgmt. Tim Kelly remains a Cat for 2019

Disappointed a deal wasn't reached, but proud of Wells for standing his ground.

List Mgmt. Tim Kelly remains a Cat for 2019

I agree. What's interesting is that in 2009 there were 17 first round picks. In 2010 there were 27 first round picks. But a second round pick of 18 is obviously worth more than a first round pick of 27.

I agree Geelong aren't stupid enough to let him enter the draft. But neither is West Coast. Which means a trade will be reached that somewhat resembles his value. There are very few top line players who get traded for well below their worth, contracted or not, unless their club wants or needs to...

You're putting a lot of faith in Fremantle there. Have you seen how they conduct business?

List Mgmt. Tim Kelly remains a Cat for 2019

I don't understand how a deal would be easier to achieve next year. Yes he'd be uncontracted, but that just means he can nominate for the drafts, where Fremantle would have first crack at him. So if he's desperate to get to west coast and only west coast a trade will have to be reached that...

The way Fremantle do business, it wouldn't surprise me if their offer of pick 11 had a caveat requiring Kelly AND pick 12 going back their way.

CHRIS Scott’s antics in the coaches box and “Free kick, Selwood”; there are plenty of reasons for rival fans to dislike Geelong. What about the fact you’ve paid — yet again — for Geelong to upgrade its stadium? Here’s a list of reasons to barrack against the Cats this finals series. WHINGING...

    Toast Premiership ruckman Rhys Stanley.

His work rate and defensive spoiling has been elite. Big aggressive spoils. I love it.

Review Geelong defeats Demons by 2 points - Rd 18, 2018

Watching a replay, and I love the way Menegola is diving onto the ground in packs and not trying to take possession of the ball, but just knocking it out to a free teammate, skirting the pack. Smart footy.

Review Geelong defeats Carlton by 28 points at KP

That sounds almost comical, really. I'd much rather them to focus their accountability on calling each other out for failing to chase and tackle and do the other should-be-non-negotiables during the match.

I thought he was a really long shot when he was drafted, a great athlete but not a footballer. But boy oh boy wowee. He's just about the most exciting 19 year old key forward in the comp.

Completely agree. I'd rather him take the shots and miss than be too scared to take them.

I couldn't be more impressed by Kelly. Absolute jet.
