Wasn't that much bitching and whinging until about the halfway mark I reckon. Had my brother there and his g/f is an umpire in Melbourne (both neutral) and she said there were a few decisions by the head umpire that were woeful.
The free kick at the end of the day had absolutely no reflection...
Goorambat have quite a few guns out atm but it didn't help the woeful umpiring today. We're outclassed in the first quarter but should've won by 30+ if the umpiring wasn't as bad.
The head umpire today should retire, disgusting.
Excellent idea and one that I support strongly, looking to support the boys stronger than ever this season after 2013 and that begins by training sessions and strong membership numbers.
Hibberd had a good season but I wouldn't have put him in the elite status, even Heppell and Bellchambers had great seasons but didn't get a mention? Confusing stuff CD.
Obviously being an Essendon fan I will let the terrible year that was 2013 slide for other supporters to talk about but I loved how Port came up last season and Kenny Hinkleys coaching well done lads!
Daniher might not be a lock for best 22 as some supporters are saying but we would be silly to not have him playing from Round 1 or am I reading too much into posts by people that don't know what they're talking about? :)
Might be a bit weird from an Essendon supporter but 1999 prelim was actually emotional exhausting in good/bad way (obviously), still amazing game to see live.
Other than that it was whenever I would turn the tv on (didn't go to heaps of games because I lived in the country) and see blokes like...
I hope Bomber does a great job in 2014 but as soon as Hirdy can come in (finals is it?) then he should at least be able to help then back to his position in 2015, so basically in essence.
They should both stay!
In 10 years I would to think at least these guys would be in the Hall Of Fame.
Pavlich
Watson
Ablett
Juddy

I know it's a bit old but only discovered this part of the forums so sorry fellas!
In response to Benalla becoming a one-team-town you have to remember that the majority of players have either family allegiences or personal reasons for playing/supporting either the All Blacks or the Saints...
