    It's not going to happen. Neither side is willing to put the funds, time and effort into bringing the education system up to an acceptable level. I'd love just one forward thinking politician.

    As i understand it, the wife is suing for 'future potential earnings'. Given they'd been estranged for years and soon to be divorced, how can she claim that she is worse off financially now he's dead? I doubt she was getting anything from him in life, now wants plenty from him in death...

    I'd love to have him back. He made footy entertaining. If we're not going to win a premiership i'd at least like to see some unpredictability, some passion and some big scores. Blight brings those things out of players easily.

    Even when we were flying we didn't have passion. Each club has 4-5 guys who go off like a firecracker when they win a game or kick a big goal but we only have one, Gary Ablett (maybe Chapman as well). Players like Corey, Kingsley, King, Harley, Ottens, Playfair barely react to anything...

    Mooney was solid for us, just injuries hurt his career. Guys like Stenglien and Fevola were overlooked by every club at least once. Our biggest cockup in 1998 wasn't trading for Mooney it was drafting Street at 18 and Clarke at 21.

    Well i took the second most wickets for the year, so i suppose that isn't too bad. Average is bad but kyuss and Bougt were the only two to average under 40. Hope i get a game in the one-day finals.

    Re: Are the Cats gone ? Yes we are. You lot could stop to a walk and we still wouldn't be able to kick 7 goals. The players just went hard for 10 minutes to save their skins. Show a bit for 10 minutes, kick 5 goals and hopefully we won't cop as much from the coach, the media or the fans.
