    Geelong request the AFL to play their home game against Collingwood at the MCG every year. Its a profit driven decision . 80,000 vs 30,000 paying spectators.

    I don't see any Ballarat teams in the AFL either, Games would have to be moved if AFL were to purchase a regional venue. Purchase the best stadium that's only used 9 times a year.

    There a lot of football fans in Geelong and western districts that are not Geelong supporters. Western bulldogs would be an ideal co tenant. On the very rare occasion other events are held at GMHBA those events draw excellent crowds.
