With all the great business minds associated with us in the past I can't think why none of them thought of this before. By simply giving away memberships to people who may not even want to be members we should soon become the biggest club in the land.
Did we ever establish if Julian is in fact the least bit interested in NMFC in any way since he may have attended some games back in the 90's?
Either way l applaud all those highlighting this travesty that he and Chelsea Manning are enduring for exposing the truth.
The membership tally WILL reach 40k. How?, Why?, because that's the minimum target and it will simply occur. Can still flog 1 game memberships for Tassie games and at the end of the day use marketing budget to purchase. Not the only way but the earlier poster mentioning the dual accounts etc...
So true and of course most of the supporters are just loyal supporters and hear Brad and BB asking for Shinboner loyalty and equate those careerist with being the club. Of course in fact Scott originally came to the club wanting nothing to do with Shinbonerism. It was like somebody becoming King...
Hello all, look back at OP, Scott is backed in by the AFL and then to understand the significance of that look at the EOFY to see that the MYTH of financial stability is due to AFL bankrolling.
Some comments regarding the running membership figure that is so central to this thread and which l followed intently in the past. It cannot be right. Who would be buying a membership now this week for this year? Then when you look at the revenue from membership over past years EOFY statements...
The MYTH continues that the club is strong off the field financially. It is simply not a correct statement as we are so reliant on AFL future funding. The Suns, GWS and Saints could all say the same thing too. And really it is the main reason that Scott is not sacked, until the call comes from...
How accurate is the NMFC membership sites membership figure? Is it a marketing exercise and not the actual amount of members signed up at the time. Does it include members from previous years that are yet to renew?
How relevant is the running total? Does it include members from last year who are presumed to be rolling over but have not paid yet? My own experience is that l'm invoiced but have not paid. So is that included?
The admin just seems to have that target of ticking off 40k members no matter how it is achieved. This SEN initiative is very short term thinking. Anybody who thinks it broadens the base or converts walk ups to members should ask why other clubs don't do it?
