    I agree Hodge would be an excellent captain but I was watching On the Couch earlier in the year and they had Scott Burns on who made a good point when they asked him about the Collingwood captaincy. He said that most supporters only get to see the players for about 50 hours or so by watching...

    Given the situation, being that the game is played interstate and the program on in the timeslot isn't a live show I would think it would be no problem for them to show the game live. It's absolute rubbish that they're not IMO.

    I started life as a Melbourne supporter like my old man but when I was 10 or so I realised that he didn't really care too much about the footy what with him never taking me to games. It was at that point that I made the move to support the Hawks cos me best mate and his old man are both Hawks...

    well he must have had at least 2 kicks since he kicked 2 goals. i know it's upsetting to think that richmond passed on 2 guys in the draft that have kicked 131 goals between them this year but i'm sure you'll work through it

    Not doubting any of that, have a lot of respect for Geelong but it just annoys me that people can say that a team has the grand final won in round 17, even if it is as good a chance as the cats are.

    young blokes in ellis, tuck, rioli, stokes all played well tonight. both teams tonight had room for improvement, be it skills or guys that should have been in the side

    Mate Geelong defintitely proved they were the better team tonight but until the last weekend in September we're not gonna know who'll take the trophy. Geelong as good as they are, aren't unbeatable.

    **** me a port adelaide supporter calling a team a pretender against geelong. didn't realise geelong only had ten players if half their team is out. yes they are the best team in the league but the hawks are closer to 'em than port are champ

    Re: Rioli + Stokes = 17 great stuff from junior and stoker. definitely shows why stokes was brought back into the side, especially with brown playing forward as well. forward pressure was a big focus in tonights tactics

    saw some dubious calls go both ways in this game. full credit to the cats though, can't blame umps for this one. look forward to having another shot at them in september
