kenya are my fave minnow - have been since 1996 world cup :-) not sure why zimbabwe and bangladesh have to go through qualifying (they are test nations afterall) - there may be a gap from the "big 8" but the ICC continue to treat them with disrespect eg. only 2 test series and always against...

i think you'll find it's only 2 of these 8 that progress, making the second stage 10 teams. Zimbabwe and Bangladesh will be the favorites but will have stiff competition from Ireland and Afghanistan. Interesting to see Scotland, Canada and Kenya missout. Namibia and PNG are on the rise as well.
