Autopsy Shameful game V Dees - tell it like it is right here.

The glaring issue that ive seen for weeks is the lack of positioning and smarts in our small forwards. They don't affect enough contests when the ball hits the ground in our forward 50. Some potential reasons as to why: 1. Young smalls are getting too focused on staying out of the way of the...

Player Watch #44: Cameron Zurhaar The Backman turned Ice Man Forward

Off day on the offensive side of the ball today but his tackling, chasing and harrassing allowed him to influence this game probably more than the Carlton one. I also love that he has a bit of swagger. He genuinely believes that he is the best player on the field.

Player Watch #9: Luke Davies-Uniacke - signs until end 2025! Runner up in the 2022 Syd Barker Medal Award

I compare his first two years to Cunnington's first couple of years. Knows what to do. Has that little bit of extra time with the ball. Gets caught holding the ball trying to shake tackles. Just not quite ready physically to take over a game.

Autopsy North v Hawthorn post match thread. - Rd 3, 2019

I named 2 different things we tried to get through Hawthorns setup using. 1. Handball 2. Riskier short kicks into the middle. (I dont consider long down the line a "plan"). But thats 3 different ways we moved the ball if you count the first quarter. The players had plan A. As you said...

Autopsy North v Hawthorn post match thread. - Rd 3, 2019

First Quarter: Short kicks in the back half until we found an opening. And when the opening was found, we went fast and direct. VERY good football. Rest of the game: Clarkson made sure to put the pressure on the backs and not let us chip it around as freely. Because of this we either. A. Went...

    List Mgmt. 2018 Trade/FA & Draft Thread Part IV [JP✔️ JPII✔️ Hall✔️ BScott✔️ Tyson✔️ Clarke➡️ Preuss➡️ RedÓg✔️]

Im sure someone on here will know. Can we (for example) match a bid for TT and lose two or three of those picks. The later picks are then required to fill the primary list meaning they now get allocated points? Or is it the case that you get the picks for the list spots before the night...

Past #3: Jed Anderson - delisted end '22 - 89 NMFC games - go well Jed

I dont think there are many players in the AFL who throw themselves at the contest as hard as Anderson. Looks like he loves the contact and wants to physically intimidate the opposition every chance he gets. In reality, probably never going to be a superstar (happy to be proven wrong) but...

Player Watch #9: Luke Davies-Uniacke - signs until end 2025! Runner up in the 2022 Syd Barker Medal Award

After that game, I have no doubt he will be a very good player. Not sure where he will end up but wont be a bust. His composure in and under stands out most. Add to that the lateral movement. No doubt will be good. Kinda see this as a Ben cunnington over Gary Rohan type pick. Need outside...

Past #13: Ryan Clarke - officially traded to Sydney in exchange for #61 in 2018 ND - thanks Clarkey

Tried to keep a close eye on him today. I could not work out the role we wanted him to play. Was at half forward a lot of the game. (could be because of Turner going down OR Morgan coming in. Maybe both). Obviously not his preferred role nor is it one that he is good at. I think he is best...

Past #13: Ryan Clarke - officially traded to Sydney in exchange for #61 in 2018 ND - thanks Clarkey

I don't think we play direct enough that we can be dead last in kicks per game and 17th in marks and that low in total disposals. But we are being more efficient in our use. No doubt.

Past #13: Ryan Clarke - officially traded to Sydney in exchange for #61 in 2018 ND - thanks Clarkey

Runs hard. Gets into the right spots. Very good link man through the middle. Disposal + decision making isn't the best, but id rather his 20-25 touches than someone else who looks flashy but will average 12 touches. We are 15th in disposals per game. If anything we need MORE players like him.

    Autopsy vs Gold Coast - Rd16 2018

Positives: We have found our next gun midfielder and it only cost us pick 69. Some of our handball chains were class. Usual suspects aside. I liked the games of Maj. Clarke and Dumont. Negative: Small forwards struggled as they have for most of the year. Didn't lower the eyes going into the...

Past #8: Nathan Hrovat - won't be offered a new contract - thanks Rat

As with a most of our small forwards, he doesnt get the ball enough but looks composed when he gets it.

Past #10: Ben Cunnington - will retire from the AFL after * game - 238 games/95+ goals/2x Syd Barker Medalist/Shinboner - thanks for everything Cunners

Best part was after Bellchambers went up to him, he just shrugs like "Yeah. Its 50. I know, ohwell"

    Autopsy vs Essendon - Rd 15, 2018

Could not agree more. We have a track record of turning mids into half backs and personally I dont think it works too well. Atley. McDonald. Now Clarke. (probably missing a few aswell) Let mids be mids.
