Good point The catchment area is not a huge population. What about Aspley - they have the only QAFL licence north of the Brisbane River !!!! You are looking at 10 times that population. They joined the competition at the same time as Thunder and had a team ready made 1km away to take over ...

Just confused about criteria for club of year : I would have thought that NT thunder with the minor premiership (2 and half wins clear of all teams), one goal away from Foxtel Cup semis and only 3rd year in comp would have seen them awarded trophy.
