    Langford's been lacking in confidence for so long we've fortgotten how reliable he used to be as a set shot goal kicker. Can't see how he gets back from where he is now. Never an instinctive player, he looks like a deer in headlights when he finds himself in possession

    The writing was on the wall from the start. Caddy's missed goals, MacKay's kick to Shultz in the square. Merrett's fumbles in the centre. So many skill errors. Maybe we were overwhelmed by the occasion. Who knows why we are made of straw and wishes. Ah well, another big occasion where we failed...
