Opinion What unpopular AFL opinions do you have? - Part 2

Its definitely an interesting situation, curious to see when it will be when they finally turn things around. They've been awful most my life, but a different kind of awful to other teams.

Opinion What unpopular AFL opinions do you have? - Part 2

I can genuinely see Carlton turning it around this time under Voss. The idea of Curnow and McKay both firing and kicking goals over a full season is frightening. Walsh, Cripps and Cerra. Worse midfield trios have played good finals football, I'm keen to see if this midfield works. Weitering...

    Prediction 2021 Best 22

That forwardline is a disgrace. Worst in the clubs history in my time supporting

Buckley will keep on coaching, he will be excused because of the incompetent list management. And to be honest, in a way its somewhat fair, he hasn’t been able to top up from the 2018 team that almost won a flag.

I have doubts Moore’s move to the forwardline is going to make up for goals we will leak because of his absence down back. Roughead will start leaking alot more goals. frustrating we continue to lack an extra quality KPP, same old story for the last 7 years. These same discussions were had...

Traded Jesse Hogan [Traded to GWS for Pick #54]

You would think he still commands the number 1 defender? which is instantly gonna help both Cox and Mihocek.

Traded Jesse Hogan [Traded to GWS for Pick #54]

Maybe the pies get desperate, but i have doubts Hogan himself would be interested. He wouldn’t be able to wipe his ass without making the front page of the paper. It sucks, because he slots in perfectly in our forwardline, takes the best key defender which eases the pressure on Cox and Mihocek...

    Dangerfield and that elusive Premiership

i think you’ll find Collingwoods average age gets bumped up from blokes like Dunn, Reid and Varcoe who arent best 22. Aswell as Chris Mayne and Levi Greenwood who are handy, but reasonably easy to replace. Completely different circumstances to Geelong whos 30+’s are key players.

    best Collingwood games 2010-20

Im pretty sure I’ve attended about 6-7 games in the last 6 years, and 3 of them were mentioned in OP. Not a bad strike rate! Edit: 2014 Anzac Day, 2018 PF & GF.

Toast EF: Collingwood by a point.

There was no reason West coast couldn’t have gone all the way and won the flag this season, it wasn’t quite as big as beating them in the big one, but it really feels good knowing the boys took this one away from them. Great win.

    List Mgmt. Trade & F/A - 2020

Honestly completely forgot about Fasolo, thats a name i haven’t even thought about in atleast 2 years. Edit: Remember the Fasolo to half back hype around 2014? Pretty sure he had 30+ against North?

Geelong: why are they just not good enough?

Difference is in 2012 was that your CHB, CHF and no1 midfielder were still mid 20’s, so there was a quality spine to top up around to keep going. Who is Geelongs current best player aged mid 20’s? Kolo? Jed Bews? Parfitt? Honestly all the credit to Geelong if they continue to fight for top 4...
