Rochy missing a lot of quality and draw has been tough. Judge them in 4 - 5 weeks I reckon. Unfortunately I think the likes of Rasmussen are being played out of position with a lack of speed in the on ball division very evident at the moment.
I wasnt there but Rochy just have too many good players not playing to get close to good teams at the moment. Its a long season though and I reckon they will get better.
Casting my eye across the Reserves teams for the weekend and the other rounds and the clubs are doing a great job getting numbers on the park. It is getting harder to do and a lot of the focus goes on Senior Footy results but the clubs and the players should be commended.
Its a tough call with Shepp winning but not being exposed to the top end of teams and Rochy with fully exposed form against the best teams resulting in losses. If Rochy can curtail the Bears in the first quarter, scored heavily last 2 weeks, they will win the game on Saturday with a big...
Agree with all of what you have written. The question is - why do Bendigo League clubs need Echuca to come in to make them get better. Just get on and do it now.
Absolutely. Should already be a done deal if it is universally accepted that Echuca are gone. Will be interesting to see if Moama then retain their good juniors who look to defect to Echuca for 1 more year of junior age football with the move to Under 18 footy in GVL.
I wonder if this will sway Echuca to stay. Based on conversations at last weeks Rochy game they are gone but hopefully that was a little bit of grog talk. GVL needs Echuca and I wonder with AFL Vic out of the way the other club presidents could convince Echuca otherwise
I regularly watch both and im not seeing what you are seeing. Im also unsure if the forfeiting of reserves games carries any weight with regard to the standard of senior football its more of a wider reflection on what is happening across country footy as a whole.
In what way? Bendigo is not a shadow standard wise and about to lose one of its best clubs for the past 20 years and have introduced Broadford. Its a weak argument given the evidence. I would agree that GVL has dropped in standard but not that far.
