Some rough comments on Mansell in here. The miss was bad, but he should never have been put straight in after four weeks out with no match practice at all. He ran his arse off and played a huge role in stopping their rebound - he would have been completely spent.

Did he actually play mid, or mainly forward? I would like to see Baker back, and then either Bolton or Rioli as a sweeper for all centre clearances. We desperately need an injection of pace in our midfield for both offence and defence, and Bolton and Rioli are the only players that seem to have it.

Grigga wasn't slow, he ran a 2.92 sec 20m sprint at the combine (same as Dangerfield). Ever see him get run down?

Agreed. And if he's the right man for the job, he'll be able to tell when to stick with something and when to abandon it.

Shai forward is a mistake - he's our best and most dynamic mid and can go missing forward.

He's too slow to tag most players. It worked on Sloane, but everyone else we tried him on who had any pace just burnt him off. He also can't play midfield alongside TT and Hopper, because then the entire midfield is too slow.

I actually think he's better forward without Lynch, as the no 1 key forward. He's not smart enough to find space and make leads as the second or third tall, and often ends up in the wrong spot. When he's the no 1 option and can stand in the square with people just kicking it to him regardless...
