    I cant accept the manner of Micks departure at all. I think the club should have ensured that the announcement of Micks final days at North were befitting of his status at the club.

    hmmmm - you might have missed the point there Neoblaze. Its not a question of whether he could go on or not (nor a case of clinging to past glories) but of the manner of departure. Delisting just seems a bit grubby for a North legend.

    Personally I dont really feel like its something that is "good to hear". It would have been nice if he could have made the decision himself to retire on his own terms. Delisting doesnt seem to befit a player of Micks stature. A shame.....

    Its a shame to see Byron go, and a bit unexpected, however, as someone else has posted already, we have a surplus of quality small forwards coming through the ranks and a defecit of key position backs. This trade is consistent with the youth policy that I think most people would endorse...

    the actual quote regarding playing youth was: "birth certificates will be thrown out the window" ...which implies to me they wont be played just for the sake of it and that if they're good enough, they're old enough.
