I don't think it's hyperbole to say this could have a similar effect to missing Thilthorpe for the start of 2024. Curtin was a huge point of difference and it seemed like we started to plan our game around him.
Replied to club in every communication asking for feedback with the same but might as well rant here too, it's a bit of a money hungry joke that they canned the kids showdown membership last year and refuse to bring it back.
In 2024 they had the 3 game Showdown membership available for Adults...
Most people put footy games on ice over summer don't they? From July to September it was pretty steady once the new release wore off. I'd imagine it'll pick up again when the 26 update rolls out (assuming they're doing one, considering the game is called AFL 26).
We did about 7 loads of washing on that 40 degree day a few weeks ago. The clothes you hung up first were almost dry by the time you got to the end of the basket.
Yeah fair. Long way back now but most of the DBC17 issues I think were QOL issues and not game breakers. Though that might have been the one where the Academy was unusable for like 2 weeks after release? Which meant there was no point starting a career or anything since Academy updates didn't...
Yessssssss. Scenario Mode, or something like that. Blows my mind how much cool extra stuff these games used to have compared to now.
In round whatever of 20whatever, this team powered home to steal a win against an injury riddled side. Your job, with no interchange and low stamina, is to...
Yeah I had PE on PC. Those minigames were absolutely elite. Been wishing something like that would come back for years. Every now and then I still fire it up on PC for a round of Around the World.
I was a yearly IR Gurus purchaser. If they recorded play time on PS2 I would've had some mega numbers on AFL Premeirship 2007. Played that to death from 07 to 11.
From memory they had the same issue. 2004 was by far the best, and each iteration after that tried to innovate something and failed...
Probably not given they put out AFL Live 2.
I think if anything it's just that the BA team were making a labour of love with AFLL1 and DBC. Now they're just pumping out titles to deadlines and shoehorning in changes for the sake of changes. Kind of like how bands have their whole life to make a...
I'm fearful of the slippery slope with sponsorship. SANFL guernseys have looked naff for years with the big chest sponsor. One thing I always appreciated with the AFL was that the guernseys were respected. Since covid though we've gone from a small front sponsor and a big back sponsor to two big...
And let's say you're a young forward who, through a few injuries or suspensions, finally gets a shot in the A team. You get a week or two to stake your claim. But that now involves trying to figure out how to lead and find space alongside 2 or 3 forwards that you never play alongside, and how to...
Not being a smartarse as I genuinely don't know, but do other teams always run training as the A team vs the B team too?
I get wanting your A team to gel, but surely running even matched teams every now and then would be beneficial. Getting your A team on the same page is great, until you lose...
Agreed. There's a lot of chat about how clubs will now play 2 rucks and whatnot. I don't see it happening tbh. A few clubs might experiment with it but after a couple months I'd be surprised if more than 1 or 2 teams are still using it like that. Reckon most clubs will just revert to it being...
