My concern is more about the Dogs getting on top from the midfield, the game being played mostly in their front half, and us getting hemmed in and not executing the long down the line play well.
I’m confident that we’ll show up for it and start solidly enough (as we have every game this season), but less confident in our ability to stop the Dogs if they get a run on or to find a solution if they can effectively counter our primary mode.
It’s another good chance to show our growth from...

This is an interesting article about it. Injured players are a variable in the model, but it has less impact than other variables:
Corke said the difference in terms of points lost by not having a...
Yeah I noticed that too. I think some of the separate models that Squiggle aggregates do not take into account players missing through injury like the bookies obviously do.
I don’t think they can quickly or easily clean up the rot that has so clearly set in there (exemplified by the Elijiah Hollands situation - a failure of leadership at multiple levels).
At best for them, some of their leaders might do some reflecting during the week and put in a slightly less...
I’m starting to love that moment when we win a ground ball on the halfback line and get the first handball to the receiver in the corridor.
We’ve got it very well grooved now. You just know how it’s gonna unfold.
This has probably been said by someone already today, but let’s all be grateful that WC didn’t select Murphy Reid with the pick before ours in 2024 (no disrespect intended for Bo Allan).
I think he gets more joy from setting them up - be it either a perfectly weighted kick on the outside of the boot to the ad side of the forward, or a 2m handball from next to the goal post to Vossy.
Accurate goal kicking is doubly important for a match like this one.
Get in front early, quieten the crowd down, and hopefully the effort from WC players subsides away.
But if WC can keep it close on the scoreboard, the crowd will be up and about and it’s more likely to be a tight and tough...
I’m not hugely into hip hop (don’t mind a bit of Immortal Technique), but I respect the artistry and energy in the lyrics.
You did a great job. I love the use of assonance and some of your imagery.
Is there a way to either:
- mute the commentators, but keep the other audio from the game?
- sync the TV broadcast with the radio broadcast (via Kayo or FTA)?
