    i think the difference here was that newcombe had no intention of contesting the ball and clearly made the decision to tackle howe. The MRO has clearly stated with the so called Maynard rule that the person instigating the tackle has a duty of care for the outcome.

    Howe was moving forwards with the sole intent and focus on winning the ball, Newcomb entered the contest clearly without eyes on the ball and showed no intent to slow down or avoid the collision. The MRO set the standard with the May decision, at least 3 weeks is expected...

    Yeah Nah it was hit and miss with streaming the game on my Samsung TV......and when it did work on 7Plus they chose not to show the pregame entertainment and you had to tune into the aerial connection for some unknown reason. The coverage is a total cluster f@#k by the AFL and Ch7!!
