    Vacant guernsey numbers

    Personally I think the only thing Cotch did wrong in his time at the club was not take on the number 17 as captain. Would have loved to see him wearing that holding up the cups. Doubt it will happen but with Rioli gone now could be a chance for us to revisit that tradition of our skipper wearing it.

    Rutten would be the perfect defensive coach replacement, and if not maybe even Troy Chaplin. In charge of Melbourne's defence so cant be doing too bad of a job. Otherwise I'd love Newman or Grigg back and keep Lambert on in some way which I think Dimma was keen on.

    To be fair, Jack was pick 13, Rance 18 and Edwards was 26. Cotchin and Martin were obviously very high and are the cream, but it does show that your team's stars or even future stars (Bolton 29, Balta 25) can be plucked from a bit later on.
