It was selfish of me & im very sorry for that. Let’s hope there’s no one alive today who sees that shit club win a final.

25 yrs since their last flag. If they don’t win 1 in the next 25 yrs, that’ll just about see me out.

Expansion A third team in Queensland? AFL acknowledges QLD3 as a 20th licence option

Haha. At least WA draftee numbers would increase significantly

You need to read the ‘quote’ in conjunction with the ‘reply’ & not in isolation. Your reply is nowhere near what I’m talking about. I am not talking ‘participation’ The question & my reply was about “how it will affect the draft” Nothing else

The WAFC aren’t a gov dept. They are a sport administration not for profit organisation who have employees who make decisions on how grass roots footy is played. These people aren’t concerned with the $$, they are there to make the rules for junior clubs. They are there to improve junior talent...

Expansion A third team in Queensland? AFL acknowledges QLD3 as a 20th licence option

I think you might be confusing what I’m saying. I’m not blaming WAFL clubs or WAFL the league. I’m blaming WAFC who run football here. WA’s draftee numbers are not good, 8 in 2024 Of the 6 in this years draft, 3 were NGA or FS. Meaning only 3 players without access to an AFL club facilities...

Expansion A third team in Queensland? AFL acknowledges QLD3 as a 20th licence option

Ok. But that doesn’t necessarily mean the AFL hasn’t given as much $$ to grass roots in that state. There’s many reasons why draft numbers can change from year to year & state to state. As I pointed out previously, I lay blame on WAFC. I was involved for many years & hated the way they ran it...

No. As I said the question was how does it affect the draft. My answer is, there are now 3 clubs with priority access before non academy clubs.

I don’t know if you are playing dumb or what ? But this is your quote that I replied to So how does it affect the draft ? Well that’s what I’m trying to explain to you. There would now be an extra club having access to academy kids. So instead of 2 clubs, there would be 3 having priority...

Expansion A third team in Queensland? AFL acknowledges QLD3 as a 20th licence option

Do you have actual figures of how much the AFL pour into each state at grass roots level ? Not disagreeing, just looking for facts. You can probably blame WAFC for WA’s draft numbers. Junior footy is run by some pretty dumb people at the top who feed junior clubs absolute bullshit. Go along...

Currently 2 teams get a choice before all others. A 3rd team means 3 teams get the chance before all others
