Watching this slightly inebriated in the pub reminded me of the bulldogs circa 2014. I.e. win it on the inside but turnovers suicide. There seems to be a bit of work to be done. I thought Sutty played well when the game was up for grabs, likewise Langdon. I guess this will be another year of...
I'm feeling cautiously optimistic for this one. I remember last year against Geelong, scores were close for almost the whole game and early year upsets against Geelong have become a tradition ;).
I'll be stuck in Northbridge while this is on, could anyone recommend some good pubs to watch it at?
Bad year in 2009, beat the Cats in Round 3, 2010.
Bad year in 2011, beat the Cats in Round 1, 2012

They always seem to get us back in form!!
Plus, this will be FFC's 500th match.
The Fremantle Football Club has currently played 490 games. Maybe they will announce some kind of commemoration for the fifth-hundredth game, which seems to be Round 1 next year! As ugly as it was (although i kind of liked it...), I hope they do bring back the old jumper just for nostalgia.
Mayne missed the first game but kicked 2.4 - I don't know what has happened to his old, accurate routine ??
Barlow was another who had some chances, he kicked 1.4.

In case anyone was curious, here are the top 5 goal kickers from the NAB games (SGs count as goals):

2. Pavlich: 5.1
3. Ballantyne: 3.1 (missed 2nd game)
4. Mzungu: 3.1
5. Weller: 3.0
