Thanks again to Mike from TGT for sponsoring the comp this year:

REMEMBER:
* Enter tips into each comp you've joined.
* If you enter ANY tips in a comp for the week, the system will not fill out the rest of your tips in that comp for that week with away teams.
* If you enter NO tips at all in a comp in the current week, the system will give you the away teams for that week.

Welcome to round 2! It's really happening!

We've just found that, due to a flaw in the software, alerts and automatic tips did not run in round 1, and probably will not run this week.

Please get your tips in, and we will fix this for future weeks. The fix is known and being applied now.

If we can retrospectively fill in away teams for people who missed their tips, we will. It may not be possible.

Find all the comps you have joined here:

Thank you.

Something that has been clarified to us by the developer of this addon:

If you haven't entered ANY tips at the time the reminder goes out, you will be given away teams, but of course no tie breaker will be entered.

If you enter a few tips, but leave some blank, the system marks you as having entered tips and will NOT fill in the remainder of your tips with away teams.

Is there a way to keep track of the cumulative leaderboard, or is this comp only a week by week one?

Edit: disregard, just found it. Derp.

Its the first year I have played this game, did i forget to tip the bulldogs as there is no tick? I tipped them in other comps so was wondering

I have tipped the same in all comps and have 20 but have 19 here. Not sure what's going on there?

Edit: Just double checked, I originally was given the tip for Brisbane after I neglected to tip in time (hiking - out of reception) and they were the away team. Now it shows Collingwood as the away team and the tip being incorrect?

It was a Brissy home game.

Yeah it was the bris/collingwood switch but I left the game as it was so people didn't have to swap their tips around.

Comeback Lions - It's just the margin for the game, not the margin for the team you tip. The score was 83 to 80, and you tipped a margin of 4 points. 1 off the actual margin and so our winner for the week.

That's a strange one Chief...if I pick team A by 20 points and Team B wins by 20...I should be 40 points off the correct margin (not spot on). That would mean someone else who picked team B by 19 points would lose to me despite being far closer. At least that's how normal margin comps work?

With all that said I suspect Comeback Lions may have won this week anyway as not many were tipping Essendon but still.

No you're just picking the score margin as a tie-breaker. Not what you think the team you tipped will win by. Just the difference between the two scores.

There is a Margin Mania comp around in the forum that does something like that.

Thanks mate. Just thought it was unusual as all tipping sites have 1st game margin tiebreaker but they definately calculate who you have picked by what when determining the margin.

I'm not going to argue with the boss though :);) especially as I have coming to this site most days for more than 15 years! Great job you have done with it.

Get your tips in - I reckon all Away tips this week will destroy your score.
