We have committed to drafting one Sandringham Zebras player every year as a rookie to strengthen our VFL alignment. We can pick that player at the end of the year in the Rookie Draft
It will be interesting to see who they select tonight given they have already tested a number of different combinations. I think batting depth is a real problem.
This is who I would select:
1. Dixon
2. Konstas
3. Weibgen
4. Hicks
5. Peake
6. Campbell
7. MacMillan
8. Aitken (WK)
9. Anderson...
What do you think of the batting? I would go:
1. Brathwaite
2. Chanderpaul
3. McKenzie
4. Athanaze
5. Hodge
6. Imlach
7. Da Silva
8. Sinclair
I’d consider playing both Motie and Sinclair but I reckon the Windies need the extra batsman.
I would have thought that the bowling is just ok? Alzarri Joseph and Roach have plenty of experience. It’s a shame that Seales is injured, but it sounds like Shamar Joseph has some talent. Kevin Sinclair also should be a capable international cricketer.
Everyone needs to chill. We all know Hunter needs a can of Monster Energy to get through training. He was probably also asking Ross if he could do the time trial on his BMX
I suspect we would baulk at a pick in the 20s because of his age, but I appreciate you don't want to give a good player away for nothing. Would he even want to move to Victoria?
You clearly don't watch us much if you think Sinclair is a seagull and Steele is anywhere near a top 10 mid in the game right now. Sinclair is a top 20 player in the competition and Steele is only just an above average player midfielder currently (I am hopeful he'll get back to his best next...
I heard from a former Lions player that there's no way they volunteered to stand down. Apparently Rich is one of the most stubborn blokes he has ever met.
Do you reckon Demattia ends up a top 10 pick at the end of the year? Looks to me like he has all the tools and will have a Humphrey-esque rise up draft boards.
I think he's a bit more guarded in the official club pressers.
Sounds like we have a couple of really hard workers in Mitchito and Windhager who will drive the club's culture in the next decade. King, Mattaes and Nasiah seem like good trainers as well.
It was interesting that Ross said he thought that the team was currently playing to its full potential. I suspect there will be some big list changes this off-season.
