We've already qualified for the next T20 World Cup, and there's a 0% chance we won't qualify for the next CWC in 2027, too.
Any white-ball game between those events is just a practice match. If your favourite player didn't get selected, don't worry, they probably will soon enough.
The biggest news is probably the selection of Cooper Connolly in the T20 squad.

Nobody would ever say Warne's 700 wickets isn't that impressive because of the number of balls he bowled.
Anderson's 700 wickets is an outstanding effort, and the fact he could be a world-class bowler for 20 years is an achievement in itself.
Does it put him in the top echelon of fast...
I'm not sure what your point is? Is it bad that there is a variety of teams at the top? Or would you prefer if it is was like the 50 over World Cup, where the last three semi-finalists have been:
2023: Australia, India, New Zealand, South Africa
2019: Australia, India, New Zealand, England...
The original announcement says it was to be one-third in the US and two-thirds in the Caribbean.

West Indies being knocked out means the poor record of hosts in T20 World Cups continues. Hosts have made semi-finals in only two of the nine T20WCs, compared to 11 from 13 in the 50-over CWC.
Not to mention they were on track to destroy us in the World Cup last year and we only got over the line because of Glenn Maxwell playing The Greatest One-Day Innings Of All-Time.
Most of the early discussion in the GDT was about whether we should have boycotted. Something like 12 posts on the first page alone.

Just dropping in to note that Warner and Stoinis are both in the top 7 run scorers for the tournament so far. Stoinis also has the 3rd best strike rate and has taken 7 wickets.
The easiest way to change allegiances in cricket is going from from an associate to a full member.
Dirk Nannes played for the Netherlands in a T20 World Cup and then for Australia that same year.
And of course there's Tim David, whose presence in the Australian side seems to bother absolutely...
I think the boundary countback was silly as a concept, but at least the 2019 final was decided on something that happened in that game, not events several weeks earlier, and not even between the two teams involved (it was accumulated net run rate, so it was from Australia and South Africa's...
Joe Burns become just the sixth person to score a century for two different international teams, having made 108* vs Romania:
Kepler Wessels (Australia and South Africa)
Ed Joyce (England and Ireland)
Mark Chapman (Hong Kong and New Zealand)
Eoin Morgan (Ireland and England)
Gary Ballance...
Referring to the boundary count is missing the forest for the trees.
That was a pulsating game of cricket the whole way through. Momentum shifts like crazy, brilliant individual performances, a heap of little one-off moments that had a bearing on the result (Trent Boult standing on the...
Officially it was because they wanted travelling fans to know where the super 8 matches would be far enough in advance to book flights and accommodation plans. There is merit to this argument, and it is, to an extent, common. (Both recent men's World Cups in Australia - 2015 CWC and 2022 T20WC...
Bangladesh look home here.
Even if they somehow lose this match, the Dutch need to belt Sri Lanka to get ahead of them on NRR.
Well done to them. Top 8 in the last three 50 over World Cups and now hopefully pushing up in T20Is as well.
