...Like 5” taller. Hawkins is the only player currently playing that resembled anything close to the same size at that age. Hawkins played a fair bit in the ruck also at underage levels. Charlie Dixon is maybe another comparison. But Gerryn’d dexterity and agility is on another level to Dixon.

Don’t mind most of that. Surprised Williams hold value. Would be trading Burton if anyone interested and Houston hanging around. Soldo gone, hope second rounder back or used to secure Lukocious. Geelong can come all they want for Lord, happy to keep and continue to develop. Glad to hear this...

    Toast All Australian Lions 2024

Some sound reasoning here, but have to disagree on some aspects. Coaches/players should be conscious of the occasional KPF who sacrifices their game to reduce the impact of the Weitering type defender. IMO that is pretty rare that a KPF (not a 3rd tall, but the main forward) is prepared to...

    Toast All Australian Lions 2024

...Weitering kept Charlie Dixon super quiet against port a few weeks ago, and the rest of Port's attack had free reign as Dixon just distracted weitering, wrestled with him and ran to non-dangerous spots. Kinda feels to me that Weitering is in as part of 'rewarding' defenders who 'BEAT THEIR...

Bluemour Discussion XXXV - 'Loopy' Season has begun

I don't think the sky will fall if we lose one of them. I think a lot of people undervalue how having 2 premium KPF is. They just need to figure it out. Sydney - Amartey and Logan Port - Georgides and Marshall Most top follow the same blue print running 2 KPF. If anything our delivery to those...

Bluemour Discussion XXXV - 'Loopy' Season has begun

What do the several clubs above us do, who dont have 1 forward in the same league as Charlie or Harry? If Sydney can finish top with Amartey as their main man and Port can finish second with Marshall, Georgiades and Dixon on a walking frame, how would the sky fall if we lost one of our guys...

Jordan Sweet, Dante Visintini and Ivan Soldo. Charlie Dixon and Tom Scully could do it but are preferred as forwards.

You see our game against GC yeah? Made Chom look silly a few times. Certainly has it but whether his body can keep going is more the thing. As for McLean being a dinosaur, you know he is 25? Sent from my iPhone using BigFooty.com

Sam Day types? Not really. He is a dinosaur. Maybe Charlie Dixon or Hayden McLean would be the closest. But, as I said, we already have two similar types, we don't need another one.

Player Watch Lcoemwe to Port Adelaide Ivan Soldo

Renouf was a serviceable ruckman until he was squeezed out by McEvoy. Soldo was a serviceable ruckman until he was squeezed out by Nankervis. I think Sweets been a revelation, he was clearly good enough but never going to take English's place as number 1 ruck at the Bulldogs.

Player Watch Lcoemwe to Port Adelaide Ivan Soldo

Sweet looks a cut above him? Soldo was very ****ing good before he hurt his knee after we tried to turn him into Charlie Dixon for a game. And he had a poor return after we brought him back into the side underdone, and he never got the chance to re-establish that connection with the midfield.

Honestly, Rioli is a good but not great small forward. Yes, he’s had a couple of good games against us recently. But he’s not in the same ballpark as someone like Charlie Cameron from the past few years or even Stengle. He’s only ever kicked 30 goals in a season once. He’s the kind of player...

    2024 Rolling ALL-Australian Team

anybody who thinks weitering deserves a blazer over andrews has rocks in their head honestly. bloke leads a defence that leaks like a sieve because hes too busy clamping washed up players like charlie dixon to be bothered peeling off to help the rest of the backline like the elite key defenders do.

Thinking back to the comments about Charlie Dixon earlier in the year having a lesser preseason and resting for games to ensure he was right for the finals males me think we have timed our run much better this year. Credit to the high performance team. On SM-G975F using BigFooty.com mobile app

Game Day The battle of the Port, v Freeo

Charlie Dixon sick during the week, and may not play. So we bring in the kid who has been leading the ruck in the SANFL all year and tell him, you need to be a forward now. FFS Lord would've been a better option. Assuming that Todd isn't actually available fr selection.

    List Mgmt. 2024 AFL Draft

Yeah fair, I think the "depth" is there in terms of quantity. But we need a KPF like Dixon who throws his weight around. Thats either Harry Armstrong in the first round, Tom Sims in the 2nd round, Charlie West in the 3rd round or Jay Polkinghorne in the 4th round. Those would be my targets.

    Let's talk Ports! Part 3

Bix Dix, used to live in Parkside, then moved up to a property in Adelaide Hills, some time after Covid, think in, or near Stirling, so it might have been his old gym before the move and has kept going there.

...with a hip complaint 15 minutes into the third quarter. Then a hospital ball by Chad Wingard in time on resulted in a broken leg to Charlie Dixon and an injury to Dan Houston, which allowed Jeremy McGovern to play forward and kick the winning goal. Of course, if Port doesn't lose those...
