  • I listened to a podcast today and it might be of interest to you. The podcast was a chat between Jay Mohr and Jeff Luhnow. Jay Mohr is an actor/comedian/radio host and Jeff Luhnow is the current GM of the Houston Astros. This is podcast was recorded back in 2014 so it is a re-release. They discuss how Jeff became the GM and how he plans to turn the Astros around. It can be found on PodcastOne-Mohr Stories.
Yeah I did post that picture found it when going through you 1980's attendance picture and thought I'd send a copy to Pi because he is all about promoting the game in China. I didn't know it would be put up on the website. Should probably change my username on twitter now haha.

Good on you for digging ut up and passing it on. When I posted that I was hoping that one day we would get involved with China. At the time my mate was helping the AFL and Melbourne FC get into Shanghai and China. Now Kochie has my mate in his Sydney advisory conmittee and Lockhardt Road in Hong Kong.
I'd like to send you a PM about your sig. I'm a bit passionate about our moon landings, and how inspiring JFK was. I was born in 1969, so it was a big year for me. Ever since i was a kid i studied the moon and the planets and beyond. Thats just my thing. Your sig is very inspiring. Maybe your just relating it to Port Adelaide.
Just want to say thanks mate. For all your information, just everything on Port Adelaide. I get so passionate about my club, i get the blinkers on. I read your posts and you level me out.

No worries mate and thanks for the kind words. Everyone who spends a lot of time on the Port board has great passion for the club. We all have our own way expressing it.
I'm much the same. I think the football media in this country is largely a joke. Too many vested interests (journos appointed to committees by AFL, player managers doubling as commentators, etc) and nowhere near enough actual football analysis. I'd bet you some good coin most 'experts' in the industry couldn't coach a local U18 side to perform an effective forward press, because they barely understand it when they see it in front of them at the top level. If blokes like yourself, SweetJamieSuspension, and a few other lads from bigfooty got together and started your own independent footy media company, I'd subscribe :thumbsu:
Hey mate, just wanted to stop by and say I reckon you are one of bigfooty's best posters. Always good to see people doing research before posting, and I often find the material you post informative and useful. Keep up the good work :thumbsu:
