Im astounded as to how inconsistent they've been so far. Its just hit & miss. Quite poor & really pathetic. Any mug could umpire like this. Its just as bad for both sides, but thats not good enough.
No, he was playing the hurt teary coach thing. Coming from Mitchell its truly funny. Everyone else in footy land can see the joke. The joke is Mitchells sooky response.
It makes sense to play the bigger games at UTas until MacP is complete. Then they'll mix the games up, IMO.
The name on the tin says TASMANIA, that's how they should look at it.
The AFL won't allow other clubs to suck money out of Tasmania. They know it'll be tough enough for the new club to build itself financially early in its existence.
If those clubs can't make it in their own market, then they should do something else for a living.
Fair point, do supporters going to say Perth for a game get screwed with price gouging? Or the reverse with WCE supporters going to Melbourne or Sydney?
So MONA works because of cheap flights from Melbourne, but the stadium won't because of inflated flights & hotels? Ok, that might make sense to someone else I guess. :p
Economic for promoters & thus bringing them here gives economic benefit.
Anyway, tell me whats not subsidised or supported in other places? The power system in every state, the road & rail systems, the education systems, telecommunication infrastructure, all the sports stadiums across the...

No idea of actual numbers. The falls festival was huge & now gone. However I see gigs have been cancelled everywhere across the country. Byron Bay being the latest big one.
Freight equalisation exists between the mainland & here. As long as the stadium has well appointed audiovisual equipment & makes the setting up & pulling down after events efficient as possible, costs will be much reduced. All that therefore makes the putting on of large events at MacPoint, more...
We're not building a stadium. Anyway, how deep is the rock? Was it on the old Rosny Golf course or CH park on the hill side? As I said, they built Eastlands next to it & a housing estate along the fairway. So I'll wait until the council says something.
Its 2 Ovals & Buildings. We're not digging for gold. So how deep do the foundations need to go? I'd be surprised if they dont already know how deep the rock is. How would it create an issue anyway?
The boss of Ticketek has praised the MacPoint stadium. He says it will attract performers & Hobart/Tassie & that Tassie is a desirable destination. He thinks it'll rival MONA for tourism attraction.
Well thats the final nail in the Naysayers coffin (If they weren't already consigned to one...
