He also squibs the contest more than nearly any other player on our list, and has a softness to him that needs to improve. Regardless of 'pressure acts' stats. I don't hate him, I actually believe he will become great for us, but he has more work and a bit of growing up to do yet.
Correct - 5 or our absolute best players in Dawson, Rankine, Keays, Butts and Murray will be missing.
You won't get a better chance to beat us at AO than this.
It is because he has no defensive game. Purely a forward, front runner. Struggles to tackle or apply any kind of defensive pressure. Has so much to learn still if he is to become a great AFL player. Talent alone won't make him that. He clearly has the talent, but he really needs to go to school...
This result was absolutely karma to that flog for his flopping disgrace and subsequent re-enactment after the game to his team mates. Sucked in Draper.
What? Momentum changed when Adelaide lost 2 of our 3 key defenders - Murray and Butts - in the first half. It allowed Essendon's forwards to run rampant against wingers trying to defend tall units, and they capitalised on unbelievably biased umpiring.
Adelaide have been 2 key backs down since the first half, we've got Cook and Nankervis, with a grand total of about 20 games combined, playing as KPD's.
Do you seriously think we can beat 22 players and 4 umpires? Can you see the dozens of neutral supporters saying the umpiring is a farce? We have been absolutely reamed - 4 goals given for free kicks that were not there.
Lol. I based my comment on being a member and being at games every 2 weeks, having watched him for a number of years. I don’t base my opinions on anyone else’s.
If it wasn’t for the Amaty debacle I reckon we would’ve done it by now. He’s been one of, if not our best defender bar that game this year. Definitely deserves a decent deal, but they may be holding off as his 1 on 1 defence has a way to go.
