I think Gakpo suffered from Diaz already being the left winger in the team, Jota's injuries and Nunez' erratic form meaning we needed a central striker and that Klopp was searching for a Firmino replacement that Gakpo was certainly the closest to that mould in the squad. Didnt super work out...

I think a lot of the players only just really got back. Not sure on the opponents and how long they have been back in training but yeah we should be winning that game comfortably regardless of the circumstances but all about fitness really this early in pre-season.
