I guess we deserve as many write ups as possible after the way we have been treated by the O&K. At least we have finally reached a confidential financial settlement. The Chronicle does a great job on covering all the big issues.
Maybe most of the other teams in the league aren't worth talking about. Did you ever think of that you "flog". Go tongue punch your boyfriends fart box.
Sorry for the delay... I have been in South America doing some altitude training ahead of the 2016 season. Feeling fresh and ready to go for the pre season ahead. Still unsure of what is going to play out, still holding onto hope and in constant discussions with him, so hopefully the next season...
Financial nouse being a bloke going through a divorce and putting money into the footy club so he could hide it from the Mrs? I'm sure we could still be playing at Swanpool if our money grew on trees and bought players in. If all goes to plan with John O'Donohue next week we could be on the...
At the risk of saying something smart, I know how hard it is having only 10 at training. Regular thing for us. Some nights we were lucky enough to have 4 groups for lane work. Good on Tarra for doing something different. They will beat Goorambat by 25 goals!
Should be able to share some exciting news at the start of next week about our club and some of our signings.
As for this weeks games:
Bonnie Doon to win
Bright by two goals
Goorambat and Greta to play a draw
Tarra
All Blacks will sneak in by 5 points
Milawa by 25 goals
We have already signed 8 key players for next season. We have a meeting with 3 more tomorrow night and a meeting next Tuesday, so everything is looking promising. We have some regulars coming back to the club for next year and I know the Tatong committee are working at getting numbers to bring...
With all this talk about the salary cap and points system our club is in a good position for next year. We are still working very hard as a committee and we are looking good for the 2016 season. We have been in regular talks and meetings with John O'Donohue so that is a positive sign. We have...
Once the merge goes through with us and Tatong we will be looking good for finals in 2014. Got some real talent at both clubs... When we are put together we will give the league a real shake up.
Well we aren't 100% sure of this yet. It is looking like we might be playing at Tatong as they have received a grant from the government to refurbish their change rooms. I haven't heard of any names being thrown in the ring yet... But I am tipping it won't be far away as there isn't too much...
i did hear a rumour around Slim that a few of the boys were interested in leap frog at the club... i think it would be a good combination with the sack races... but i also heard that in your day when you played you were good at sliding into non existent holes... any truth to this rumour?? If so...
We have been playing some pretty consistent footy over the last few weeks. It helps when you can get a whole footy side of clearances in before the 30 of June. Had Greta last weekend and they were no good... the scoreboard does not reflect the match... we had 16 players out of our regular senior...
Fantastic to get the win over the blacks on Saturday. There was a great crowd out there. Was good to get a good team on the park. Loading up Friday night sure did help
looking forward to this week's challenge... had great numbers on the track this week so far and have a few new names and blokes coming back from injury. looking like a close match this week! i am tipping to get done by about 3 goals
Another long day at the office, but Tatong aren't real flash... Talking up how good they were going to be during the pre season and they are terrible. Maybe they should stop being so stubborn and merge with us and Goorambat and be a force to be reckoned with in the Ovens and King. Looking...
Looking forward to running out on the park on Saturday. It is going to be a training drill at Tatong with the black, white and teal witches hats. It is going to be like running the pivot on Saturday afternoon. With the form of Matho, Coxy and a few others we are looking good for the points this...
It has been an interesting start to the year... After a solid pre season of jack in the pack and lane work a few of the boys have had to miss the first few weeks of the season in quarantine due to leather poisoning, the flu and even a couple of cases of the clap and herpes.
Looking towards round...
I see people have been talking about me. good to be back boys. Darby has done a fantastic job with us and i am looking forward to playing finals this season. pre season training has been solid and we have been getting great numbers to play jack in the pack and do stationary handpassing drills...
Haha yes Hibbleton good culture. i c everyone in the league has recruited someone from jail that has set a guy alight... good culture, great people to have around a footy club. Also didnt you guys lose your liquor license for selling grog to underagers??
i heard a little whisper that after Saturdays game Nth Wang have their players review at the clubrooms. Richie Findlay is apparently doing a rendition of Tom Jones - Burning Down the House and i think Steery is doing 3am by Matchbox 20 dedicated to Frankie Eames
i read on the front page of the chronicle today that there was a suspicious housefire in the Wangaratta area from the weekend... wouldnt have anything to do with a north Wang forward?
Just having a look at the ladder and it looks like Bright have a good chance of making the 8 with All Blacks likely to lose their next 3 games. If they can play with the form they are capable of they might scare a few come finals.
Leave him alone he is a good bloke that was caught up in the wrong crowd.
When I was introduced to him, He seemed like a lovely bloke! He even asked me to the movies and dinner! Top Bloke!
Righto lads here it goes..
Whorouly to smash All Blacks by 69 points (Archibald will put 7 players in hospital)
Bonnie Doon far too good for the Bats 88 points
North Wang in a close one over Milawa 5 points
Bright by 150 over G/rowan
Swanpool too good in the wet over King Valley 34 points...
That is correct. We had 4 players play both seniors and seconds. If it wasn't for an ex All Black player that rounded up 2 of his mates to play for us we would have had to forfeit our 2's.
