My favorite ol uncle was heavily into the jazz scene his whole life and was great mates with Max and especially Stewie Speers. Even though i only know Slippin Away from the Meteors, i always remember my uncle extolling Stewie's brilliance. He was a jazz tragic.
Besides watching The St Kilda Football Club pants the James Hird coached * by 150 points, Hutchy's effort here was the funniest thing i've ever seen on an AFL field.
Really enjoyed the original Blue Murder. Roxborough and Martin were a Tour de Force.
Watched last night...Roxborough still superb in the role....but bored by the whole concept 20 odd years on.
The original story of Rogerson was worth telling. Not much interesting about his latter life.

So many favorites. Different day - Different favorite. And all so different.
This one would never be out of my Top 10 though.
Ground breaking. Timeless
Love Rockwiz. The Liddiard/Coates duet was one of my faves.
Got a disc full of Rockwiz performances. Another ripper was Karina Utomo. The ending is great when cranked up:

Pub Rock you say....Hard n Fast nights at The Corner in Richmond, usually on a Monday night were as Pub Rock as you get on a raw amateurish scale. Memories.
Not my favorite band, but a memorable night was Hoodoo Guru's at the Village Green on a stinking hot summer night. Great performance...
