Hawthorn now have 14 clubs they have current streaks of 3 or more wins in a row against. 2 wins against Sydney and a win against St Kilda in the last couple months of the season moved our streaks of wins to 3 in a row against each of those teams. Richmond, GWS and Geelong are the only teams we...
Have a feeling that with more people signing up with Hawks Direct the numbers might be slightly overinflated at this early stage. I would love to crack the 70,000 mark but it might be a bit out of reach - would require a 10% increase from this year. I know it is off the back of a premiership but...
I honestly believe that 2014 will be one of the closest seasons in recent memory. The battle for top 4 and 8 spots will be immense!
1. Fremantle
2. Sydney
3. Hawthorn
4. Richmond
5. North Melbourne
6. Geelong
7. Essendon
8. Collingwood
9. Adelaide
10. Carlton
11. Port Adelaide
12. West...
You've got to be joking right? Hawthorn average 18.1 free kicks a game for (10th in league) and give away 18.2 (8th). Oh and if you're basing your opinion on the grand final it was 15 free kicks to 14. What a massive conspiracy this must be!!!!! On a side note for you, who did the umpires...
I was not bitching about my work situation. I love my job and would not change it for anything in the world. I also never said I wanted more money. I was just stating that I am not "very well paid for the hours I put in" as you somehow 'know' when you are not a teacher or know anything about the...
I am a teacher and arrive at work at 7:30 in the morning and don't leave until after 5:30. Not to mention all the work I do at home and on weekends. These are not unusual hours for a teacher. Your opinion is both moronic and extremely disrespectful to all teachers!
Finally received some well-deserved recognition! Very underrated player! Best and fairest in the premiership team and most spoils in the AFL and can't even get into the All Australian team...
I am more than aware that Neil Cordy is a biased Swans supporter who mascaraeds as a journalist, however some interesting points are raised in this article...

So with the news that Buddy is going to Sydney we will be guaranteed to play them twice next season. No doubt we will also get return matches against Freo as it will be a grand final rematch. You can also book in Geelong as well. So we will receive the maximum 3 matches against other top 6...
Sydney would have to follow through with it though wouldn't they? Is it possible they could renegotiate as soon as the Hawks don't match it? Surely not...
If this is true then I will have lost a lot of respect for Buddy and Pickers. After numerous times of saying all negotiations are off until the end of the year, but to be secretly dealing with Sydney, Hawthorn have been backstabbed. I was fine with him leaving to GWS for 2mil a year, but now he...
Apparently Sydney have offered the 9 year deal.... WTF is going on?!?!?!?! If this is true then it must be a way to get Hawthorn not to match it so they can then trade for Mumford and get picks back. If true then this is beyond dodgy!
This seems like an equal and desirable trade for all three clubs. Everyone wins which should happen in a trade. I would then like to see us trade for Longer as I would rather go for a younger ruckman than Mumford anyway. This will keep our premiership window open for longer. We should then...
They called it the 'Darkest Day in Australian Sport' because it more than likely is. No other issue has involved so many sporting codes, clubs and players. The facts will follow in the months to come. Just because no people have been named yet does not mean they are trying to grab headlines...
It now seems the AFL does not have as big a problem as previously believed, apart from Essendon. But people need to remove themselves from the AFL bubble. This is a massive issue and involves many Australian sports. The Government is not who you should be annoyed with!
Essendon is going through the darkest period in their history and you are arguing about semantics. It does not matter if the club asked for it or if they were named in the report... Essendon is in deep s#!t.
LMFAO at the overinflated expectations of Port, North and Essendon supporters... big tickets on average teams at best. Most other predictions I believe were very reasonable. I think all our games are close to 50:50, so we probably should be 2-2
Thanks for the feedback. I think my midfield is almost a lock, except I would like to squeeze a couple DPP in but can't see how with all the rookies I have who I really want to keep. I am very heavy on rookies in defense so I may have to look at that after the pre-season comp.
When looking at...
This is attempt 1 (of many). I'm fairly happy, but I do want Naitanui in my team as I feel the new ruck rules will benefit him. Will reconsider if he is fit for round 1, but he may be an upgrade option in my forward line.
DEF
B. Goddard (ESS)
B. Gibbs (CARL)
G. Birchall (HAW)
B. Staker (BRIS)...
At least there are still some differences. A few clubs still like to keep their membership numbers a secret..... I like the updates every few days on the Hawks website.
I hope for his sake he is happy to go to Box Hill. Unless we have a major injury crisis he will be lucky to get more than a couple of games this year. No where near our best 22.
You are an absolute fool!
Hawthorn do not offer a 0 game membership and even taking away all of our Tasmania members we still had more than 5,000 more members than you last year.
Well it happened to us. Double up games against Sydney, Collingwood, West Coast, Geelong and North. Talk about being ripped a new one by the AFL. You were lucky to get the Bulldogs twice. They will nearly be as bad as GC and GWS!
I think the Geelong game is vital. If we lose then realistically we will be 0-2 and with hard games still to follow the pressure can start to build on the club. We beat Geelong and string a few other wins together and confidence will be high. I would be happy with 4 wins.
