If barrass wants to leave and we can turn him into busslinger and a legit first rounder we do it. Think yeo is more important short to medium term and as a free agent unless we got band one we are probably better keeping him. We are lacking draft capital though so I think on balance losing one...

Hence the circuit breaker required. If they still together next year, and both their families are in Vic, I'll be worried.

Hopefully, but it's not a good sign. Being 19 with a gf interstate can't be easy. Would need a circuit braker for that.

MVP Round 13, 2024: Votes vs North Melbourne

Honourable mention to Edwards. I actually thought he was brilliant before he got subbed. Few big contest wins, some great intercepts, that epic goal saving smother. Was bad development subbing him off. Should have been williams/flynn.

Mega Thread VICBias - Genuine Discussion

There’s, no direct advantage in that game, because both teams experience an advantage that nets off. The advantage those teams experience in that situation is against the rest of the comp. They don’t need in to travel and endure the mental and physical toll that takes over the course of a...

Sheezel was a hff pre-draft. The skills can transfer, pace and kicking, marking ability. Production not so much an issue at half back where it’s a lot easier to get junk ball. Sent from my iPhone using BigFooty.com

Hmm, if per the west article you’ve damaged a power pole that’s obstructing traffic (ie on the road) one would think it’s common sense to realise that’s a hazard to other people and should be reported. There may have been an electrocution risk in addition to a road hazard. Sent from my iPhone...

If true, plenty of Roos on Indian Ocean drive. Not sure why police would be “investigating though” if it was just a light crash after hitting a roo? One would suspect theres more to it. Sent from my iPhone using BigFooty.com

Both are too old imo. Don’t want us spending what little draft currency we have unless it’s on an U25. I don’t think graham is good enough to warrant using salary cap. English, cumming and perryman are as long as the contract price isn’t silly. Sent from my iPhone using BigFooty.com

I think this option only stacks up for us if we get a pick bump, of any kind coming our way due it being a bowes style salary dump. He's too old to really be much use for us and we should in general be using our salary space to get younger FA's or attract other juniors.

If we take another highly rated mid with our first pick, and use our second on buss, that will be it for our draft. Need to find a way to improve our draft hand because we really need to start bringing in some rebounding defenders/wing types. Sent from my iPhone using BigFooty.com

Very possibly, I saw Hough at a café recently with what I believe was his manager explaining to him how the indexed salaries work vs those not auto indexed. There were some moments where Hough looked a little sheepish/was congratulated and call it a vibe but it seemed like he had received a...

They didn’t last year, so they probably won’t this year. Is anyone else felling like me, and looking at Reid and how good he is and wanting to hit the draft even harder knowing premierships are on their way if we only but put a bit of support around him. Sent from my iPhone using BigFooty.com

I think people are just looking for some value given our situation. Our draft hand for 2024 isn't looking crash hot outside of our first pick and we don't have many options for selling seniors etc to improve that. We also haven't taken many high picks in recent drafts either compared to other...

We got to try and improve our draft hand somehow. A pick in that range shouldn't be sneezed at, especially at his age. If the players willing I would be disappointed if we didn't accept that in our current situation.

If dogs were willing to stump up a second rounder or better that could be a great move for us. Macrae wouldn't be horrible for us on a wing (better than Gaff) and could shelter some of the kids a bit. More importantly, anything we can do to improve our draft hand is an absolute must.

Not sure what moving our F1 forward will really achieve, just as last year it likely represents a future number 1 pick. We need to find a way to improve our draft hand without sacrificing the future. Some sort of pick purchasing style deal would be ideal for us along with hopefully receiving an...

100% this, we need to be aiming for at least 4 top 30 picks a year. We really need to find an older player to trade out, but I really don’t see many options there. Flynn might be a good one as part of a ruck merry go round if we got English in FA. Sent from my iPhone using BigFooty.com

Yeah at this stage of the rebuild we really need some talls, and if there’s no clear standout we may be forced to split. We’ve basically got two drafts to finish the core of the rebuild before tassie starts impacting the drafts. Sent from my iPhone using BigFooty.com

People are disappointed as all they want to see is a positive glimpse of the future, but it just didn’t look good today/so far this year.
