Hopefully this isn't going to muck up any teams plans to get there.
How many sides have entered this...

Interesting developments with the Welsh league as they seem to be going it alone this year. Good luck to them.
Does anyone know why it won't be an ARUK league now?

An interesting development on the international theme, and a rather leftfield route into wider Sydney...
What is the status of the teams in the north of England? I heard some of the clubs there may be having trouble getting going in 08, which would be a big shame for the game in the UK.

Why are you asking these people to work for you for free clarkey? Your organisations made a profit last year so you can offer to pay them a few dollars for their hard work, rather exploiting it for nothing...
An excellent article in The Age looking at plans for more footy in South Africa:

There have been some rumours circulating that the Adelaide <http://www.afc.com.au/> versus Collingwood <http://www.collingwoodfc.com.au/> NAB Cup match in Dubai on February 9th may not go ahead due to concerns about the condition of...
There is clearly a lot of movement in the game internationally at the moment, and it is being picked up at grassroots level in new locations on a healthily regular basis. However, I reckon it is almost indisputable that no-one is doing more at the moment in key countries to develop the game...
This is great news for Irish and international footy. Its always good to see the game growing.

Another irishman looks set to reach our shores. However this guy is making a return trip, as he was previously at the Lions for a short spell but left with homesickness.
Interesting news from Carlton on the Irish front. This would give them at least 6 Irish players I think. There is clearly a view among AFL clubs that Irish players can offer a dimension which our home grown talent can't...

Sounds like the Bulldogs are in great shape for next years international cup.
Got home in the small hours of Saturday morning and was listening to SEN's pre grand final marathon. In the bits I heard there were guys from South Africa and Scotland being interviewed about their countries leagues and plans for AFL Grand Final events. Interesting stuff in the parts that I...

Just heard some interesting chat:- that ARUK have been slapped back into place by the AFL recently because they are stirring against the AFL affiliate (BARFL) and are being forced to consider a new merged entity in England. True?
Will bet money that doesn't work!
